Two nights of Mannly Music
The last few nights have been very exciting and rewarding musically. A local big organization decided to go balls out and hire the very talented Chris Mann and the Teton Chamber orchestra to do two nights of awesome music for their annual Christmas celebration.
For those of you who do not know who Chris Mann is, he came in fourth on the second season of NBC's television singing competition The Voice in 2012. Mann came in first on Team Christina Aguilera and represented her in the final round. He is currently starring in The Phantom of the Opera as the "Phantom" in the show's North American tour. He is a rising star and you can expect to hear more about him in the future.
I have played with Chris before, but not with Christmas music. The entire show was perfomed awesomely by Mann, the rhythm section, and the orchestra under the direction of Eric Wenstrom. The vibe of the show was very joyous. Chris Mann is one of the best singers I have ever worked with, but also one of the most humble and kind. He is a great example of how a celebrity can treat others with the love and respect that we should all treat each other. I have worked with many talented people that I feel could learn a thing or two about how to be a professional. Thanks Chris, Willy, Eric, Brad, and all of the orchestra members. Happy Holidays, everyone! :)
